CANDIDATE PROFILE: Crystal Eller, Esq.

I was raised in Florida in a working-class family. My father was in the US Air Force during the Vietnam war. My parents taught me the value of hard work. I had my first job cleaning condo’s at age twelve.

Neither of my parents graduated high school and could not afford to help with my education so I worked full time to support myself and pay for school. After college I received a scholarship to law school and graduated at the top of the class in 1993. I have raised my children and practiced Law in Las Vegas for 27 years. I volunteer as a Christian counselor, a Hope for Prisoners mentor, and have a charity that provides access to horses for veterans and the under privileged.

I am deeply affected and ashamed by the unequal treatment of the poor and minorities in our judicial system. I am running for Judge in Dept. 19 to end unethical conduct and bring equal justice for everyone in my court.

My opponent, Kephart, has a long-documented history of ethical violations and misconduct. As a prosecutor Kephart withheld evidence sending an innocent man, Fred Steese, to prison for over 20 years. Recently Kephart lied about his actions and said he would still prosecute Steese today for murder despite evidence proving he could not have committed the crime. In 2020 Kephart increased a man’s sentence to life without parole in retaliation for the man speaking out in court. The NV Supreme Court determined Kephart acted without any legal reason.

I will treat every person in my court fairly and with respect. I will base every decision on the facts and the law. NOT on social status, financial ability, or national origin.

Vote Crystal Eller. Together we can balance the scales of justice Dept. 19.
