Mayor and City Council positions are elected by registered voters in the city of Las Vegas. These positions are four-year terms and those elected to these posts are limited to a total of three terms on the City Council.

E-mails must contain the meeting name, date and item number in the subject. E-mails received up to an hour before the meeting will be considered public record, read during the meeting where appropriate and will be included in the backup. A time limit may be imposed on the e-mails read for the record.
